Listen to his Bible: D Gazero - E Pluribus Unum Hosted by DJ Chuck T

For me, the best music comes from indie artists. An indie artist brings new, real raw material to the table. Their objectives are to stand out, prove themselves, and get fans. There are a few hundred or so that'll fake the grind and imitate famous artists, move as if they have already made it, and buy fans... those dont make my playlist. Work is acknowledged and easily noticed if it is actually being done.

I need yall to take notice of an artist that goes by D Gazerro. The Rhode Island / Charlotte native keeps a name in the mix because he`s rolling with one of the South's most grinding labels, Diamond Ruff Music Group. He currently has a project out now hosted by a top Carolina DJ (& one of the hardest working DJ's I know), DJ Chuck T called E Pluribus Unum. This 11 track mixtape was very much worth the space on my S8.

From the start of playing the production and his delivery will
keep you paying attention. The first 3 tracks of any mixtape are crucial because they are the top songs that HAVE to keep the listeners attention. They cannot make the listener hit he skip button and they have to make them want to appreciate the download & their time. "Money in There" is just a snippet but he clearly knows issa hit so he made a bold move making it the first track. The following tracks are just as pleasing.

[NEW MUSIC]: @IkeEllisWill releases hit Street Single, “Troy Bag”

Meet Ike Ellis. If you're not familiar with the name, its ok. Just trust me when I say this is a guy worth paying attention to.

This featured single dropped November 14 on digital platforms and the production is bananas- first off. The eerie piano on top off a down south trap scheme is sure to make you move your head. Secondly, Ike clearly tells us a story and its as if he were talking directly to you.

Check it out on Google Play, iTunes, and Amazon.

Excerpt from review:

After the continued success of the latest single “Sorry” by Ike Ellis and Nitres, the 100 Grand Entertainment artist is back yet again with another single song to continue the momentum. Written and recorded while on the road managing millions of  dollars worth of audio equipment for the Weeknd Star boy tour, the record embodies a distinctive energy unprecedented from the Ike Ellis brand.

The latest single “Troy Bag” releasing November 14th 2017 is a strong street single with radio appeal for the masses to enjoy. The vibrant 808’s from CBBEATS production drive the song to new pinnacles delivering something quite unique unheard from Ike Ellis’s catalog.  Lyrical delivery and flow over a trap instrumentation charters into new territories from his normal sound of music. The song instantly connects with DJ’s in the club and radio.

Building the catalog, adding to the versatility of his brand, discovering new listeners in other markets is the essential goal of this record. What is a Troy Bag? A bag of money kept to yourself, undisclosed from government reign in which without it could impose upon the security of your minimum basic necessity in this capitalistic society. A cushion if you will, when everybody digging in your pockets.

[Music] - Kese - "Cut The Check"

You gotta put this on your playlist. Kese gotta single on his hands and the strip clubs love it. If the strippers love it, I gotta hear it and ive kept listening. Straight outta Charlotte, "Cut the Check"!
Brief Bio: At a young age, Kese took a liking to rap music. Already having a good ear for it, during his middle school years he actually began rapping himself. He would engage in freestyle sessions after his classes. The freestyling conditioned him to be a full blown rapper; exercising his lyrical skills and wittiness is exactly what got him prepared for what was to come.

Regional anthem from Tramatik - "252" (prod. By D-Eazie)

Came across this video while watching my favorite show (Turnt Tuesday every Tuesday night with Coco Filipina) and decided it need more acknowledgement.

Tramatik is a not just a very noticeable name amongst the hip hop industry in the Carolinas. He's an artist true to the definition. The video for "252" is long in length but its his story. Many of us in media get lost in the industry politics that when we get submissions from indie artists we forget that we too were once at that same point of branding and networking. Tramatik embraces his roots- which are also in my roots.

Are Leaks Good For Fans? Via @TheFadar

Two FADER staffers weigh the pros and cons.

As legend has it, the modern music leak came into shape sometime around the early aughts, largely due in part to the creation of the peer-to-peer mp3-sharing service Napster in 1999. The ensuing two decades equipped fans with the tools to access music through illegal channels like Limewire, Kazaa, and MegaUpload. “Fans are thirsty,” Nick Barart noted this week in an essay on The FADER about Kanye West’s unconventional album rollouts. “They expect artists to over-serve them, and if they can’t get their fix from an approved source, they’ll find other means.” Still, does illegally downloading music or leaking it to the web make it right?

"albums will keep on leaking until the ways of the music industry, and the internet, inevitably shifts again. The only thing we can do in the meantime is decide how, and when, we want to listen."

[VIDEO ALERT]: @MARSmcgowan - Uh-Oh!!!

This submission came in on a great day! His style is smooth and cool af with some great production. I took a listen to this about 3 times and it got better each time. I look forward to his next project!

Following up the mixtape N.B.C: Never Been Commercial, M.A.R.S McGowan is back with his second project of the year. As a continuation of the M.A.R.S series, Memories Are the Realest Stories (M.A.R.S Pt. 2) is projected to release in the Winter 2016. With the first half of the album being completed, M.A.R.S gives you a taste of what's in store as he releases the first single off of his project, "Uh-Oh!!!" With the beat being made by DubBeatz combining this New York sound with a Lucci sample, the 19th Ward Lord brings his lyrics and wit to continue repping for his hometown of Rochester, NY.

On another note, I have my Youtube set on Auto play and this was the next track from Mars that popped up. According to the video's upload date, it's an oldie but damn its a goodie! This shit still rocks! Pres Play! I want this mp3!

This video couldn't be any more appropriate right now. Another young black child was shot down, unarmed at the age of 15. Another name to remember and never forget, another officer sits at home free. I'm not going to get into details but lets have a moment of silence for #DariusSmith READ MORE HERE.

This track is powerful. It should speak to us all. There's a war going on in our own back yards and many of you refuse to recognize it. Don't wait until it happens to you. "You feel it yet?"

"Producer Millie Vaughn has teamed up with Eternal The MC and Cyrano Sinatra to kickoff his upcoming album, The MillieTape Vol. 2 with an explosive visual for their single, "It's War (You Feel It Yet?)".

I've come across this guy before and enjoyed what I've heard so when I finally got an email from his Publicist I was kinda excited. Why? Because it shows interest in my blog. The purpose for my blog is to showcase all types of hip hop and with so much watered down hip hop and trap radio hits, its nice to get a refreshing listen to some underground hip hop. I love this track. I am downloading it today! Shout out to the producer!!

"On the heels of the continued success from his latest single Please Don't Leave (, North Carolina's own Ron Beatty returns with a lively & jazzy, upbeat single called Mind Control. The track is sonically blessed by the sounds of Raleigh-based producer V.S.O.P., accompanied by saxophonist Juran Ratchford, along with songstress Nneka O lending her vocal support as juxtaposition to a musical battle of the sexes. With a vision that transcends rap cliches and passing fades, Ron Beatty is here to stay and is shaping a definitive sound that cannot be boxed in by genre or region."

Mind Control is available on all music platforms (Spotify, Apple, Tidal, Amazon, Google Play, etc.)

I love this song. Mostly because my mentor made the beat. The beat has so much emotion in it son son. Its angry, yet turnt! And of course, Ricky did his thing as usual.

[Artist Watch]: @2_32am x LOOKIN AT YOU

This artist is very unique. Out of 4 song submissions, this was my favorite. Leave a comment, what do you think?

"TWO32, a 20 year old singer/songwriter from Queens.

'Two' always had a love for good music, but didn't start recording tracks of his own until after he graduated high school in 2014. Since being raised primarily in the south (FL, ATL, MS) he decided to move back to New York to pursue music and be with family. He dropped his first track "Know Why" in April of 2015 and had a few singles over the course of the next year. On Valentine's Day of 2016 he dropped his fan favorite, Nightlife and spent a majority of the year under the radar musically. Now in 2017 he has delivered another single "On My Way" but this time the track is from his upcoming EP titled "F88E8E", which will be his first body of work put out. Coming soon.

[Video]: @Paradox__Music - Palm Trees In Heaven ft. @HV_sings (produced by @JManifestNC)

The homie Paradox told me about this track a while back and I don't remember listening to it but I remember wanting to not just because I knew him but because Heather Victoria is on the hook. I've watched from afar as Heather flourished from a song bird out of the ENC to a now, national recording artist on Jamla Records (Grammy winning producer 9th Wonder).

Paradox used visuals in the "Palm Trees In Heaven" that featured appearances from Big Tigger, Angela Yee, and DJ Superstar Jay, during a huge event in the Dominican Republic. There are also features from the producer, the one and only J.Manifest, songstress Heather Victoria, and DJ great DJ Cen City.

[The video was shot by Paradox (Loving Life Films/Artistry) in Raleigh, Miami, New York, and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic with b roll (in-studio) footage shot by FFtv.]

I was not expecting the title of this song to actually include the hook that we all know from the Color Purple. You don't hear the hook until after the first verse and that is why this video is getting posted.

I like the lyrics, the delivery, the hook-- i like this song. Its pretty good Hip Hop. Not another trap song. The video gives a story line of what they are sort of rapping about. I strongly suggest the video be done over or at least the single be pushed on another platform other than the video link. The video could distract the audience from actually listening to a good ass song.

Download Future Ft. Kendrick Lamar - Mask Off (Remix) Clean
Download Future Ft. Kendrick Lamar - Mask Off (Remix) Dirty
Via a PR, i only used some of the submitted information. We all know who Future is but just in case you do not know who or why Future is hot now (lol), here is some of the submission writing...

"Future's second full-length album, initially known as Future Hendrix but later retitled Honest, was issued in early 2014. It earned both critical acclaim and popular success and peaked at number two. Two singles from the album, "Move That Dope" (featuring Pharrell, Pusha T, and Casino) and "I Won" (featuring Kanye West), charted inside the rap Top 20. A few months after the album's release, Future and Ciara's split was made public. During late 2014 and early 2015, Future was on a creative roll with three mixtapes, as well as another major hit, "F**k Up Some Commas." They primed his fans for third album DS2, which debuted at number one in July 2015. Only two months later, What a Time to Be Alive, a mixtape collaboration with Drake, reached the same spot. In early 2016 he dropped the surprise album Evol, which arrived unannounced but still debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart. In November of that year, Future issued another Drake-assisted single, "Used to This," from his Beast Mode 16 mixtape."

#TheOnlyOne by @SofreeWisdom breaks the indie internet!

First of all, yes this is true and fuck you if you can to read this to disagree. I may be wrong but I do know that there is such thing as the indie internet. Its basically the underground music scene. A R&B singer dropped a video on Youtube for her website ONLY, not even on Facebook and in less than 48 hours its up to 2k views. WWW.SOFREEWISDOM.COM

I usually always mention my length of time in my market because it should be known that any critique of any kind should come from someone with experience and a long track record. Now yes, it has been years since I’ve been able to do a proper music video article for an indie R&B artist. The reason this video is getting a full review from me is because it has meaning, it has purpose, and it is important. Lol Pun intended.

For starters, SoFree Wisdom has a hilarious online personality. So, aside from her songwriting and vocal skills when it was announced that she was finally going to shoot a music video for a song she has been pushing for over 2 years, uh yea, she had everyone's full attention.

Last but not least, its a HAPPY LOVE SONG! Its not about cheated or breaking up or feeling sad or most of the bullshit we hear, its a love song and its her love song and the mofo is married to her damn producer. *drops the mic* Come the fuck on. Watch this video! Drop a comment!

Official Press Release below:

Sofree Wisdom releases “The Only One” visual

Raleigh, NC, March 24, 2017 –  SoFree Wisdom links up with the popular Vision Twenty Films to direct and produce an amazing music video for her single “Only One.” More than just another R&B single, SoFree satisfyingly expresses true love in the way we all love to hear a good R&B song.

“It’s not just her fans that have been waiting for this. The entire industry has been anticipating this. SoFree is an amazing singer and her first big single and first video is an epic love song. This is what R&B is about!” – Shae Foote, Publicist

SoFree first announced her plans for the video shoot on her social media on February 4, 2017. In fact, the way she announced it is one of the many reasons her fans and those new to her music adore her. SoFree is known not only for her beautiful voice, but for her often sarcastic, crude humor, and straight-to-the-point posts on all her social media feeds. Now, imagine the reaction to her first video shoots announcement on March 4, 2017. Over 300 commented over the course of that day RSVPing and sending congratulations.

Residing in Raleigh since 2006, SoFree presently works diligently to finish up her well-anticipated album, ‘The Best Things in Life Are SoFree’, working alongside TracStar Rich, her key producer, as well as the love of her life. SoFree’s musical creations will imprint in your mind as one of the most unique sounding voices, one has ever heard of for sure. To be compared to legends such as Alicia Keys, Monica, Mariah Carey, and Christina Aguilera. Using music as a tool to uplift fans and listeners, during the many times life’s whirlwinds attempt to swallow our joy alive, SoFree manages to create music that comes from nowhere but the bottomless pits of only an emotion filled soul.

Remember SoFree for her ambition, with the simple fact that the driven independent artist, can attest to have moved hundreds of her self-entitled EP projects, around the fastest growing city in the U.S., by using her social media campaigns as well as person-to-person sales - through various events – where she hosted or performed.

This was sent in a few days ago produced by the infamous Legion of Muzik. #NewMusic Let me know what you think!

[MIXTAPE]: "YOU NEED THIS" - VOL. 4 Hosted by @MrChuckD Feat @AmoreKingTio @BrysonTiller, @TheRealBubbaK

It's very few mixtapes that can catch my attention, mostly because by dealing with the indie industry, mainstream music doesn't excite me as much as it used to. I came across this mixtape and decided to take a listen because it had a very versatile line up in the "various artists" mention, PLUS I know one of the mentioned artists.

If you know me, you know I'm from Kentucky. A navy brat but out of all the places I have lived, that's home. Amore King is out of Louisville and his statistics are very impressive. I mean, everything on his 1st Google search page is like, super impressive for an indie artist. Anyways, at the start of this mixtape there's of course an intro and I'm not gonna be fake, I always skip intro's and skits on indie projects and even mixtapes. Why? Because skits aren't like they used to be and I don't need to hear you talk to introduce your project... hopefully your cover art already spoke to me.

So track 2 was my shit. Amore is up next but track 2 by Mixed Magic was a good ass song so I had to replay that joint. I think I like it because of the beat mostly but also because it was a type of hip hop style I haven't heard before. "Made in Heaven" comes in hard! Production is awesome. It was like just enough time before he comes in. Now first thing some of yall thought was "oh another Louisville singer/rapper?" Yea the fuck right lol Bryson go hard, don't get me wrong but his songs a lil soft. Maybe I am a loss for better words but when you hear Made in Heaven ladies, its gonna make you google him.

So then if you go to track 6, you get some Bryson Tiller. Love the track and its what you would expect from a track featuring Bryson. As I continued to let the tape play through my attention wasn't caught again until track 8 and this is the Bubba Sparxxx track. Like that shit for real for real.

Now I wouldn't be the sarcastic renegade if I didn't give you some real criticism. I must warn you that the mixtape does turn into trap music lol Its not bad trap music... except track 14 which is horrible lol Although because I have now said that you all will go play it and give it plays and please do because I know those guys probably grinding but all i thought about the whole time it played was "why are they tryna be Juicy J?" Maybe its just me. I'm sure they make other great songs but that is definitely not the song to push as a single. Then there's a track called "Pablo" and its the most cliche trap song. Sounds like something Young Dolph would be a feature on. I didn't like it but it was catchy. So, I mean hey, if "I Spy" can be a radio single then he has a chance.

Never let em know! "M.O.N." - @IvyMonae New Visual!

First in Flight Presented by DJ Neph Jones. Notice: Content is NOT cliche.

This tape dropped locally in the beginning of February. Then it went world wide at the end of February. I decided to not just do a mixtape LISTENING review. I decided to look at the story behind the featured, and review as well. Let's take a look at a mixtape with good content released with its own support team and what some may call, a cliche title.

Currently available on the following digital platforms for streaming or download

>Mixtape Factory >DatPiff >TopMixtapes >Spinrilla >Audiomack

There were 2 most notable indie artists on this tape. One was Amore The King, whom hosted the tape along with the DJ. He's out of Louisville, which we all know has a huge supportive fan base. Amore has not only managed to get his fans streaming this tape, but also has recently dropped an album called 'Valentines Day Jordan'. The second artist was Byg Enoff, whom is very well known in the Carolina area and for his single "20 Funerals".

Why is this important? Because that is 2 completely different regions apart of this mixtape and the title is First in Flight. This is NOT just another Carolina mixtape. This is not just another compilation of Carolina artists. There's a story behind this tape and the story is in the tracklist and withing the guys hosting and pushing this tape.

I have them getting interviewed soon but for now, this is available to let the people know that not all mixtapes are just compilations of new music and a few local artists. They strategically put these tracks in an arrangement to give off some good ass energy. I also hear there are talks of DJ Neph Jones teaming up with the Road to Riches DJ's because of this project.

Stay tuned for Volume 2.

[VIDEO ALERT]: Lil Thony (@lilthonyy) - "Super Save A Hoe" Feat Jet Wavy the Blue Ranger

via #pressrelease

"Atlanta’s thot ambassador Lil Thony teams up with Jet Wavy “aka The Blue Ranger” for the visuals for Super Save A Hoe. As Lil Thony gears up to release his highly anticipated project “ Thot City ” on Valentine’s Day, he decided to send a message to some of his fans and victims to these hoes! Before the video starts, Lil Thony has a disclaimer that pops up reading “ Don’t Save These Hoes, They for Everybody”! In other words don’t bring a hoe to your home and consider her a housewife. The Blue Ranger Jet Wavy plays Captain Sav'em in this featured film, where you see him being his comedic self as he takes a “girl” on a super date!! From Waffle house to horses and carriages, Jet Wavy goes all out as if he didn’t read the disclaimer! Overall, in this video you see Lil Thony having fun while also teaching a valuable lesson to all the tricks out there! "

"Lil Thony is a multi-talented artist that continues to grow his audience through his style, personality, and of course his music."

College Park, Atlanta, Georgia native, Lil Thony has always embraced the music and entertainment realms as he's always had an affinity for music, comedy and poetry. Lil Thony has certainly been known as a curator of unforgettable moments, and the rapper certainly lacks no charisma. This said, Lil Thony was able to win over friends, family, and fans over the years with his unforgettable personality."

There's a Jam Master J'Son (@jmjson) & Richy 718 (@Rapstarrecords) diss track against Young M.A (@youngmamusic)

Note: This story was sent to me and I felt like I should talk about instead of just copy and pasting the press release.

So apparently in this long as description there was a show on November hosted by JMJ Ent and F13 Elite Ent last year that Young Ma had already been booked for since like August. Someone in Young Ma camp double booked her that same night blah blah. Long story short she still showed up but -- real late. Then allegedly stated, "If i don't get the other 5k I'm not performing anywhere!"

Now all of this is stated in the press release, I do not know if these details are accurate. I will be contacting the Young Ma camp to see if I can get their side of the story. Since that incident we all ran into the video that went viral where she made a girl get to the back of the crowd (some say she got kicked out) for not having her cell phone out. Also, I remember laughing at this video of a group of guys with guns threatening Young Ma life and apparently the story behind that is they are in relation to a promoter in New Orleans that she allegedly stood up for 33k.

Basically Jam Master J'Son and Richy Richy are so salty about this that they not only got a diss track out on her but they are also filing a lawsuit.

I'll paste the last paragraph:
This week, Jam Master J Son (Jason Mizell, Son of the legendary Jam Master Jay)'s company JMJ Entertainment Along with F13 Elite Ent.has filed a lawsuit against Young M.A.
In addition, Jam Master J'son artist and business partner - Brooklyn-born MC Richy Rich 718 just dropped a HARD diss track directed at the Bronx rapper under their Rapstar Records label.

Below is the diss track by Richy Rich. The intro is funny as hell with the Michael Jackson sample. It's an average good diss track. He didn't go in too much about her being a dike but he also could've given us some more tea other than he more gangster than her. In the like 2nd verse he says something about her being a one hit wonder and I was like "uhh... I honestly haven't heard of you that much either...

Sunday, January 8, 2017

This track dropped during hrr live performance at the 1st Buzz Wednesday of 2017 in Goldsboro, NC. She opened up the Ladies Night Edition with her fans in place, knowing every word. That's my favorite part of any showcase when I attend because it is the 2nd main thing I look for, crowd control. (The 1st thing is are they entertaining while saying the lyrics).

To see her energetic performance with several fans in attendance, along with her team, on a WEDNESDAY NIGHT??? Can't get any better. Every DJ in the building had her attendance and most importantly I saw the hosts, Skee Monee and Pocket Styles, in the moment with her.

[Video]: @TheRealDreel - Since '92 (Official Video) Shot By: @NoRatchetssProd

I've never been let down by a Dreel video and they always get numbers. Yes, of course I looked into these numbers and yes they are real views and real comments. When you invest in marketing and promotions you should make sure you get real results. So in case there are any haters out there saying they are fake views (because I'm sure there is in this Carolina region), they aren't.

Back to the subject, Dreel showed a different side of his talent with this one. I enjoyed it. It's not a single but on a project, definitely something you can ride the highway too.

[Video]: Pete Rothstein (@petematchone) - "Shots Fired 12" Filmed by Illy Rock (@KrenshawThuggn)

This video dropped not too long ago and while browsing some of my film friends YouTube channels I noticed this already had over 2k views so I decided to take a look at it. If you know how my reviews go down, you know I'ma keep it 100.

Song wise, this track ROCK. I like it, I wanna hear it in the club and I wanna put the song on my Tidal playlist. It's definitely something I would ride the highway too whether I'm smoking or not.

The ONLY thing that almost turned me away from pressing play, was the fact the guys mixtape is titled "Cocaine and Cum Stains". I get the title and its trap lifestyle metaphor but the tap houses I've knew didn't have no sexual activity near the kitchen lol. Also it just sounds distasteful. Like I automatically pictured naked crack heads in the traphouse bedroom. lol

The one and only Illy Rock directed and shot this video. I've known him since my starting days with this blog so I'ma go through his channel some more. For exclusive review, submit mixtapes and video links to

[VIDEO HEAT]: @ThisIsPoohBear X @GG_Ruga - "Paparazzi" | Official Music Video |

The future of R&B, and the one I know as Fat Sosa (Pooh Bear), links up with Ruga for one of the hottest Carolina collabs. Of course, there's tons of good music in this market but its rare to find that perfect delivery and these guys give off some good emotional energy. By emotional energy, I mean its like I'm watching a mini movie and I actually feel what they are talking about. I think even the most conscious rap fan will appreciate this track.

Just to give a little history lesson about these guys, they are not new to the scene. If this blog had survived while I grew my family they wouldve BEEN in here. Ruga has done a banging track with Snootie Wild in the past that was featured on AllHipHop. Pooh Bear's voice has graced plenty of singles and great features including a new single he has with Jim Jones. I became a fan off this track he did a few years ago called "Make Love to Your Mind".

And yaasss bih if you dont know, now you know!

[MIXTAPE REVIEW]: NO SMOKE - Khemistry McNeil by #Miracle

Where there's smoke, there's fire! And Khemistry McNeil has most definitely lit the trap music scene up once again!  The Chemist himself is back with another project to add to your Trap Bangers Collection with his mixtape, No Smoke, released earlier this year showing the consistency Khemistry has in releasing and producing quality work to keep up his momentum in the game.  A fierce momentum that looks like it isn’t going to slow down anytime soon; because as soon as I heard the first track I knew that Khemistry is stating facts when he says that these new age nursery rhyme rappers don’t want any smoke with him, because he’s definitely proving that he has a lane that only a few can attempt to crossover in.  No Smoke, hosted and produced by DJ Derrick Geeter, includes 9 tracks that will get anybody with a taste for dope instrumentals and mixing rocking with Khemistry on this mixtape.
Staying loyal to his team, Khemistry brings back artists such as Bo Bangz and Castaway to feature on a couple of tracks; Double M being one of my favorites, simply because how raw Bo Bangz and Khemistry get on the track with their verses! Raw verses is something Khemistry brings to this project by providing us with steady bars with some wordplay here and there to illustrate his life from starting from the bottom in the streets to where he’s striving to be.  Even though I would’ve loved a track or two that was less trap like; I can’t complain because I always appreciate an artist staying consistent with their content when it comes to trap music because it lets me know that they’re rapping about something they know or have lived; not just some rapper watching Scarface portraying a life they know nothing about.  It just makes it easier to connect with their work and their persona; and that’s something Khemistry has mastered on
No Smoke
Listening to this project compared to his other mixtapes I can say that Khemistry did promote himself better on No Smoke by allowing himself to have more tracks without features so his audience could have a better knowledge of who he is and how skillful he is when it comes to his flow, something the last project lacked in my eyes. And I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t say that I would’ve enjoyed hearing a dope singer being featured on a track.  Just so we could maybe get  a You’re All I Need by Method Man featuring Mary J. Blige or a You Got Me by The Roots feel! But even without that addition, everything from production, to content, and even down to delivery was dope!  From listening to his previous mixtapes to this one you can really see the growth as an artist!  So just do yourself a favor and listen to No Smoke because I can guarantee Khemistry McNeil is sparking and blowing with this one!

[MIXTAPE REVIEW]: Byg Enoff - The Wake DJ B Eazy #Spinrilla

At first glance you expect another average mixtape. There's more to this release then the eyes can tell. The Wake seems to be a surprise release for his fans as they await the arrival of the full 20 Funerals Mixtape.

Byg Enoff is hands down a favorite because his delivery and his voice PLUS he only works with the best producers around the area. There's only 7 tracks but its enough to ride the highway too. This project is a must have so download it. The entire tape rides. Real talk. My favorites are Prison System and 20 Funerals. Put on #repeat. Good job Byg.
5 stars!

Shame Sundays Mixtape Release Concert in Raleigh

NC rapper Shame’s live mixtape release to feature special guest appearances

RALEIGH, N.C., December 23, 2016 – On January 22th, D.C. area native and local rapper Shame will present “Shame Sunday”, a live mixtape release concert, hosted by Mir.I.Am from Radio One Raleigh’s K97.5. The concert will be held at The Pour House and is a culmination of “Shame Sundays” - 13 weeks of new music released by the artist each Sunday.

On his latest mixtape, Shame collaborates with local artists ranging from Quentin Rashad to Allie Capo. Attendees at the concert will hear music featuring Freedom Infinite, Silhouette, Knox, Quentin Rashad, Manifest, Bankhead, Precyce Politix, NYI, Allie Capo, Kain, KwestMusicSlim, Kenny MacGuyver, Tesh, Nacynze, Mosca Flux and Jooselord Magnus. DJ Micky Slicks will be mixing. Local band N’Kogniito will be opening the concert, and accompanying Shame on a number of songs.

Who is Shame?
Shame got his start in rap battles, where he became known to put shame to the rappers he battled. In his short time on the circuit, Shame has opened up for Layzie Bone and Do or Die, as well as appeared on bills at local venues such as The Pourhouse, Kings, Local 506 and the Pinhook. His conscious rap style evokes a J. Cole or Kendrick Lamar-type flow - but Shame’s influences range from A Tribe Called Quest, Q-Tip, Big L, Nas and Tupac.

“Shame Sundays” began as a way to reminisce to simpler times, and has morphed into an effort to showcase talented artists in the area. “Shame Sundays came about because of memories of listening to music and relaxing with family growing up on Sundays,” Shame stated. “I want people to experience the form of storytelling and lyricism through my sound. My goal is to have a following that when they first wake up on Sundays, they look forward to hearing my music.”

Shame describes the mixtape as a showcase of his growth as an artist, as well as the local talent in the area. In late 2017, Shame will release his much anticipated second project, “Room 223.” His first project, “The Sequence,” featured the lead single “Still Ballin”.

Event Information
Admission to the event is $5 advanced purchase, $10 day of show. Attendees can purchase tickets at The Pour House is located at 224 S. Blount St. Raleigh, NC.
